Housing Minister meets members of 11th intake of Prime Minister's Fellowship Programme
Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, met with members of the 11th intake of the Prime Minister's Fellowship Programme.

The meeting was held during their field visit to Salman City to learn about the ministry’s role, responsibilities and projects, as well as modern housing project implementation methods and the city’s main facilities and services.

Minister Al Rumaihi said the Prime Minister's Fellowship Programme reflects an advanced national approach to preparing and qualifying national talent, helping to enhance government efficiency and support development and innovation across various sectors. She commended the programme for providing valuable opportunities to exchange experience and learn from the best government practices.

The Housing Minister noted that investing in and qualifying national cadres with specialised knowledge and expertise is central to sustaining the Kingdom of Bahrain’s comprehensive development process under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

She reviewed key successful public-private partnership models, including the "Al Naseem" district project, confirming the continuation of this approach through agreements to implement 137 new housing units in Salman City under the same programme. She said these partnerships are key to accelerating the delivery of housing services and achieving development goals.

The visit also included an inspection of housing apartment projects, where participants viewed a model apartment in the Salman City apartment project, which provides 1,362 units designed according to updated standards that meet the needs of Bahraini families based on social study findings. They were also briefed on the second phase of the Advanced Generation Residential Buildings Project, which includes 432 new apartments, with a focus on integrated services, public facilities and open spaces included in the development plans.

On their part, the members of the 11th intake of the programme expressed their appreciation to the Housing Minister, noting that such meetings help them gain practical experience in dealing with national challenges and enhance their readiness to contribute to improving government performance.
